Andrii Isakov was born in Khmelnytsky, Ukraine, where he started his violin studies at the age of 6. He studied with Raisa Rashyna until he was 14, then he moved to Lviv, Ukraine to study with Oksana Tsap at the Special Music School “Solomia Krushelnytska”. After graduating the School, Andrii went to Zagreb, Croatia for one year, to study with the concertmaster of Zagreb National Symphony Orchestra Orest Shourgot. In 2012 Andrii moved to the US to study with Professor Mark Lakirovich at the Chicago College for Performing Arts, Roosevelt University as full-scholarship student. Currently, Andrii is doing his Master degree at College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) studying with Kurt Sassamnnshaus.
Mr.Isakov is the winner of several national and international competitions, including two Regional Khmelnytsky Violin Competitions (Ukraine), Francesco Forgione (Verbania, Italy), Cliff Dwellers Music Club (Chicago,IL), Croatian National Violin Competition, and Cremona International Competition for Strings (Italy). He has also received the North Shore Music Award in Chicago, IL.
Mr. Isakov has performed numerous solo recitals and as chamber musician in Italy, Germany, Poland, Croatia, Ukraine, and the United States. He appeared as soloist with the National Ukrainian Philharmonic Orchestra (Kyiv, Ukraine), Lviv Symphony Orchestra, Cremona Festival Orchestra (Cremona, Italy), and other ensembles. Andrii played in master classes with distinguished international artists, such as Olga Rivnyak, Jela Spitkova, Gregory Sandomirsky, Paola Tumeo, Yang Liu, Almita Vamos, Franck Almond, and Yair Kless.
